Thank you for your interest in the Medflight
Ride-Along program. If you are directly involved in the care of patients
either through the emergency medical services or within a hospital
system, you are invited to take part in the Ride-Along Program
The purpose of our Rider/Observer program is to
provide Nurses, Emergency Medical Personnel or designated personnel the
opportunity to participate as an observer on transports and
to educate participants about the emergency air-medical services. They
will have the opportunity to interact with members of the flight team.
Our Ride-Along days are
Tuesdays, Thursdays from 09:00- 18:00 EST in Pikeville and
are designed to be an observation experience only.
Due to changing weather
conditions and aircraft maintenance schedules, you will need to call our
base (1-606-218-4600) to confirm aircraft availability on the morning of
your scheduled ride date. All
other questions should be directed to e-mail:
ridealong@medflightofeky.org
The appropriate attire would include Khakis, BDUs,
Polo. No scrubs, tennis shoes, or open toed shoes. Preferably
boots or shoes with ankle support. Professional
attire is expected and you will be sent home for improper attire by any
one of the flight staff.

issue or if a two patient flight arises with a weight issue. You

has the discretion to defer a ride-along on any
